A hymn in prose

During the course of one night – I was 32 years old – I read the book ‘Theosophy’ by Rudolf Steiner. It opened the doors to the All for me. Whereas prior to this I had quietly denied everything irrational, this book made the irrational fully rational. As a result of this it happened that in one night all my anxieties and fears were conquered. Not that they didn’t appear any more afterwards, but they appeared as ‘unreal’. The living question arose: Where can I find this world that shows itself to be so effective that it eradicates all anxiety and fear?

Over the course of several years – evoked by Rudolf Steiner’s ‘Philosophy of Freedom’ – I began to behold this world in all its reality through viewing the world of living thinking with my spiritual eye, through a beholding of thinking as an inner activity – in actuality.

Before, my attention had been fully focused upon the outer world. From the moment when my inner eye began looking at living thinking, an attentiveness to the spiritual world was awoken.

Having experiencing the force of this over seven years, I began to write. After 24 years I am still writing. A balancing between outer and inner worlds was found and it is still developing, increasingly; it makes circles that expand more and more – and that come back again into itself.

A Master of the Occident, of the land where the sun sets, came and brought the wonder of resurrection. Although the pneuma of the Spirit evokes storms, there is no greater happiness imaginable….
