In spring and summer we lost the self to the shining light of the world; we gave it away to let grow without our doing something to it. Now we have got it back and it becomes more lightfilled every week. The greater the outward darkness, the stronger the inward light is. It will find its highlight with Christmas. Looking outward we can feel a kind of sadness because of the shortening of the days and the coming of autumn. But this is nothing compared to the joy of enlightening space and time with the growing inner light. The summer will be inward, when outward it will be winter.
I can belong now to myselfAnd shining expand my inner lightInto the darkness of space and time.Going to sleep is what natural being desires; Depths of the soul have to stay awakeAnd being awake bear sun fervoursInto cold winter tides.
