Evolution and involution

Let's continue this art of thinking for a while. Just like seeing the technical mind, our technical intellect as the foundation of our ability to find causes and effects, we can consider the creative artistic ability as a human ability to have an image of something perfect or ideal, and try to approach this ideal image with the artistic skills. A work of art doesn't emerge from a process of trial and error. Of course the skill is developed by trying and erring. The work of art develops from an ideal image. 'Ideal' doesn't have to mean 'perfect'. The image in the inner life of the artist that he would like to create, to realize is meant (here).
If we want to try to change our view and consider nature and cosmos like a work of art, with the living beings in it, we could try to imagine man at the beginning of evolution, as an ideal, as a perfect, exquisite, complete being, only not yet in physical form. You could imagine that the whole evolution is already present in this ideal completeness, like the whole plant already lies in a seed. Evolution would thus be the effort of a 'superhuman' artist, who lets his 'skills', that are also superhuman beings, work at the accomplishment of the ideal .
At the end of evolution we could expect to find the realized beginning of it- and the beginning would actually be the result. Evolution could be seen as something that is alpha and omega at the same time. We would have to find a new concept of evolution. The progression in time as an evolution would lead to the future. But the final situation, the goal, the perfection of man, would also be a becoming from the future to present time, an ideal real image, that draws evolution from the future back to present time.
The human alphabet would become through evolution, but the cause would not only lie in alpha, but in alpha and omega. Omega would be a force that would keep the stream of evolution within the limits, and would accompany this stream in a way that makes the final ideal form possible.
Time would not be a flow like this:

but as follows: Extended to infinity a line becomes a circle, considered spacial it is a sphere...

Thinking this way, you could consider the stream of evolution as going from the past to the present to the future, and the other movement - a stream that comes to us from the future - as the flow of time that comes out of the future and flows to the present. We would have to call this time flow: involution. Alpha becomes omega, but omega shapes alpha.

From Marie Anne Paepe @Deze reflectie brengt mij naar het beeld van de uitwikkelende spiraalstroom in de tijd tussen geboorte en dood, waarin het wezen van de mens zich ontplooit - evolueert - waarin zijn leven steeds meer vorm krijgt vanuit het karmabeeld waarmee hij op aarde kwam èn de inwikkelende spiraalstroom in de tijd tussen dood en geboorte, waarin het mensenwezen zich samentrekt als tot een 'zaadje' - involueert - waarin zijn leven steeds meer vorm verliest maar des te sterker leven wordt naar het middernachtelijk uur waar hem het mensheidsideaal van de Schepper (de alfa en de omega, Apocalyps) verschijnt in Christus (de eerste en de laatste en de levende, Apocalyps).
Tijdens het aardse leven evolueren naar het oorspronkelijke, goddelijke mensheidsideaal toekomend naar de mens hangt samen met een involueren waar in het centrum het begin van de uitwikkelende spiraal bevrucht wordt door het eindpunt van de inwikkelende spiraal - dit midden voel ik aan als tegenwoordigheid van geest letterlijk - 'leven' - waaruit ik steeds opnieuw vorm kan geven aan mijn leven, hoewel het nooit wordt van wat het ideaal in waarheid is, hoogstens iets wat er zou kunnen op lijken, maar toch, het raakt het niet. Vieira da Salva, een schilderes met veel werken op haar naam, zei voor ze stierf : ik heb maar één schilderij gemaakt en het is niet af.
Voor mij een troostvolle gedachte ... -
From Frans Cuijpers @Het loslaten van het concept tijd, waaraan wij vastgekluisterd zitten en dat ons dwingend regeert, doet bevroeden wat wij met
eeuwigheid bedoelen ( extra- tijd). De sequentie oozaak en gevolg, zit ook vast in onze tijdsklem. Het doorbreken daarvan wordt aangegeven door het woord involutie. Bij de visualisering van dit idee, doemt de ( idee van de) cirkel op. Daar is geen begin noch
einde ( zie kosmos waaronder alles wat draait !), terwijl er wel beweging is, en hoe. Dit is de derde blogtekst. Ook uitleggen zit in de tijds-
klem. Ik begin te vermoeden tot welke involutie van teksten, deze uitleg (= evolutie) met tekst gaat leiden; dat zal vrucht van meedenken
zijn. Het wordt spannend. -

From Machteld Veenker @In- en uitgaande stroom, hoe vaak heb ik ze niet getekend, kattebelletjes tijdens schooluren of telefoongesprekken. Nee , ik was dan natuurlijk niet ‘bij de les’. En steeds al tekenend ontstond er, als ik er maar lang genoeg aan kon ‘werken’, een punt van her-kijken - de uitgaande stroom die ook tegelijk als ingaand was te zien - het was maar hoe je ernaar keek. Boeiend en verwarrend was dat. Welk punt was dat? Dat was het punt dat ik het geheel niet meer in één oogopslag kon overzien. Als er teveel lijnen kwamen om ze afzonderlijk te kunnen zien, kon de beweging ontstaan. Een beweging die zich losmaakte van één voorstelling – uitgaand, maar ook ingaand. Zo’n vertrouwd geworden beeld van beide stromen kunnen we dan ook gewaar worden in andere, onze levensstromen merkte ik. Het sterkst heb ik dat gemerkt toen mijn dochter van 18 uitvloog en een eigen kerkgemeenschap uitzocht. Ik ervaarde toen in ons contact een vergelijkende kloof van evolutie en involutie als die ik in dat opzicht –over spirituele zaken- met mijn moeder had. Ik bleef maar puzzelen: groeide zij nu uit en ik in, groeide mijn moeder in en ik uit? Of andersom? Of beide? Want uitgaand kan vooruit of achteruit zijn of andersom. In- en uitgaand, telkens weer een ademhaling. Alleen als ik aan de slang denk die in zijn eigen staart bijt, kan ik beide stromen als verenigd zien. Marie-Anne Pape verwoordt het mooi. Deze blog verzet weer grenzen. Dank daarvoor.
