With Easter we feel as arisen from our unclear physical thoughts. In spring the sun seems to shine very clear and warm and all our senses seem to be cleared and warmed by the spring-sun. She seems to speak from the wideness of the cosmos to all our senses and we feel great joy through it. This joy rejoices in the depths of our souls and we can learn to feel how it rises to the sunlight and is unified with it. I can feel myself, embedded in the warm sunrays and I answer them with great joy, coming from me, from my experiencing.
This joy of mine seems to loosen thoughts; they shine back into the cosmos, coming out of the sheaths of the self, out of my soul, my etheric body and my physical body, like a chorus that sings Hallelujah! My consciousness is not able to hear the whole chorus, but deep away I can ascertain how the tones sound in harmony and how they connect the true human creature to the being of the spirit. It is the physical body that becomes living forces again.
To say it in another way...:
The spiritual higher beings that constitute the sun - not the physical character of the sun - coming all together in the arisen Christ, touch my senses, my seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting, smelling... They permeate my whole being, my physical body, up to the mark of my bones. Through this a profound inner joy comes as an answer from the depth of my soul and it unifies with the light while viewing. It is the force of resurrection of the body that calls this deep inner joy and because of the unification between joy and spiritual sun there is also an unknown unification between the human being and the being of the Spirit. This is realized through the thoughts that are evoked by the inner joy - thoughts that are not thought regularly, but that wander from the bodies that embrace the self and radiate in cosmic distances.
When from cosmic distances The sun speaks to the human senseAnd joy from the deepness of the soulUnifies, while viewing, with the light,Then thoughts wander from the sheath of the selfIn the distances of spaceAnd connect unclearThe human being to the being of the Spirit. Rudolf Steiner, calendar of the soul, 1.
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of the human body. As in nature death has to make way for the forces of life, such as the plants are beginning to grow and flower, so the forces of death in the human body give way to the living forces.
In autumn the reverse thing happens: nature dies and the dying of nature makes it possible that the human spirit awakens and comes to a consciousness of itself.
