Why start a blog?

Several friends have been asking me to start a blog on internet. At first I didn't think about it. I am an author of books, a few articles in magazines and I give lectures and workshops in many countries in Europe. I am not a blogger... But after some time I began to think about it, and now I think it is it a good idea... The social media give an opportunity to share ones thoughts with many people all over the world - and they don't have to pay, to read them...
It is the first time I write directly in English, so I fear that there will be mistakes. I'm sure the text will not be impeccable. But the necessity to have the text corrected each time would make it impossible to post the blogs in English...
I hope to show in this blog, that it is possible to find a way of thinking that releases itself of the boundaries of all-day-life that takes the venture to think the facts of life reverse, to find a kind of freedom in thinking, by forming thoughts in an original way.
We are locked up in a stream of thought that always takes the same paths, out of our doubts, anxieties, antipathies... But we can free ourselves from this stream of thoughts and find our actual human being, our existential humanity. We can find a fullness and richness of new thoughts that will fulfill the rest of our life with spontaneous and original content - that will also pass over into our actions.
Young people still have this creative thinking in a way - if they are not spoiled by education... But by going on to our thirties, we lose this creative power. We pass over into the used stream of thoughts. Of course one still can collect new content for his thoughts - but the way of thinking becomes something that has rigid forms, just as our bodies become rigid by ageing. We have to adapt to the common think-structures and we don't even notice.
So I start this blog and will try to invert, to reverse, to turn over the usual way of thinking. I don't claim truth for these thoughts. I only claim that it is possible to think facts, but combine them in another way than is usual. Possible truths emerge in that way.

From Machteld Veenker @Hé, há! hè? een blog? Wat goed! En wat mooie foto's! Maar vooral: wat goed en wat fijn Mieke dat er nu vele keren meer mensen jouw bevlogen woord kunnen lezen. Er zijn zeker veel meer mensen die op deze manier geraakt worden door jouw schrijvende overwegingen. Veel meer mensen die misschien de vraag hebben: wie zijn wij als -denkende, voelende- mens? of die ergens in zichzelf herkennen. Maar vooral zij die handvaten zoeken naar een bewogen eigen antwoord :). Hoera dus en gefeliciteerd met dit initiatief! Tot nu toe heb ik nog geen blogs gelezen, maar deze lees ik zeker! From Mieke Berendsen @Een Blog? Ik weet nauwelijks wat dat inhoud en vind het daarom zelfs erg spannend ! Maar als jij, Mieke, daarmee veel en veel meer mensen kan inspireren ben ik daar heel blij mee. Daarmee zeg ik ook dat ik jouw inspiratie heel goed kan gebruiken en dus zal ik jouw blog zeker lezen. En ik ben er zeker van dat je ideaal zich op kleine eilandjes bij mensen zal realiseren, want zoals we gewend zijn van je zet jij aan tot denken - en daarom zal ik zelf pas later kunnen reageren op je reflecties ... juist omwille van het denken dat ik dan eerst zal moeten verrichten. Wij achten haar werk voor de ontwikkeling van een nieuw schouwend denkvermogen van eminent belang voor de huidige cultuur en zien in haar één van de allerbelangrijkste denkers van onze tijd. Zij geeft in haar boeken en in haar cursussen een praktische weg aan om het denken stap voor stap te metamorfoseren.
Als je echt de moeite wilt nemen om je te verdiepen in het werk van Mieke Mosmuller en probeert te voltrekken wat zij beschrijft, dan kun je gaandeweg gaan ervaren, dat haar aangehaalde uitspraak uit 2013:
"Het redden van de ondergang van het denken is tevens het redden van de vrijheid, maar daarmee ook het behoud van de allerhoogste kwaliteit die de mens heeft en die in geen enkel ander natuurwezen te vinden is: Dat is de liefde."
